The Midfield Group (through MBC National) is seeking a Cook to join our team at the Union Station Hotel in Woolsthorpe, Victoria.
Main Duties & Responsibilities
* Examining food to ensure quality
* Regulating temperatures of ovens, grills, and other cooking equipment
* Preparing and cooking food
* Seasoning food during cooking
* Portioning food, plating, and adding gravies, sauces, and garnishes
* Storing food in temperature-controlled facilities
* Preparing food to meet special dietary requirements
* Planning menus and estimating food requirements (optional)
* Training other kitchen staff (optional)
Skills & Experiences
* AQF Certificate III with at least two years of on-the-job training, or AQF Certificate IV (ANZSCO Skill Level 3)
* Alternatively, at least three years of relevant experience can substitute formal qualifications
* Legal right to work in Australia
* Ability to pass a drug & alcohol test, and willingness to undergo a pre-employment medical and Q Fever vaccination if required
Salary Range: AUD 65,000 to AUD 75,000
