Grade 2 Social Worker

Epworth Geelong is seeking a dynamic and experienced Grade 2 Social Worker to provide comprehensive social work services on a casual basis. You will work in an energetic and cohesive clinical team that strives for excellence in patient care. The social work department offers a high level of clinical support and supervision, as well as a strong commitment to professional development activities and quality projects.

You will make an impact by:

• Undertaking comprehensive psychosocial assessments and complex discharge planning
• Striving for patient and family inclusive practice in all stages of care
• Engaging positively with all other colleagues to achieve best clinical outcomes
• Supervising students
• Demonstrating flexibility and adaptability in a dynamic clinical environment

To be successful in this role you will have:

• Extensive skills, enthusiasm and commitment to your work and embrace the opportunity to contribute to the positive culture at Epworth HealthCare
• A minimum of three years of relevant social work experience in a hospital, rehabilitation or other healthcare setting
• Clinical experience and/or knowledge in the area of brain injury and trauma rehabilitation would be highly regarded
• Well‐developed expertise in assessment, intervention and discharge planning for a complex patient cohort

Qualifications:

• Bachelor of Social Work or Masters of Social Work
• Eligibility for membership of the Australian Association of Social Worker (AASW)
