About the Role
We are seeking Casual & Permanent MC Drivers to join our dynamic Port Logistics operations in Townsville. This role reports directly to the Transport Manager and is primarily responsible for the safe and efficient local transportation of goods, ensuring that both NSS and client requirements are met on a daily basis.
Key responsibilities
* Adhering to NSS's Quality, Health, Safety, and Environmental guidelines at all times
* Perform client direct deliveries to designated locations
* Operate prime movers and other vehicles and equipment efficiently and safely
* Complete all required documentation accurately and in a timely manner
* Maintain the condition of vehicles and plant under your care
* Ensure compliance with all relevant safety regulations, fatigue management, heavy vehicle operating guidelines, loading requirements, axle weights, and vehicle‑specific permits
About You
We are looking for candidates who meet the following essential requirements:
* Ability to pass a police check to obtain a Maritime Security Identification Card (MSIC)
* Strong ability to work autonomously with a proactive approach to task resolution
* Flexibility and adaptability to work in a fast‑paced and demanding environment
* Ability to work effectively within a small team
* Regular drug and alcohol testing is conducted
* Strong teamwork skills and the ability to work effectively with others
* Side tipper experience is desirable but not mandatory
* Must be physically fit, with good overall health to meet the demands of the role
* A licence history printout is required along with a full functional pre‑employment medical assessment
