Boilermaker / Welder Leading Hand
Minara Resources, wholly owned by Glencore, is seeking an experienced Boilermaker / Welder Leading Hand for its Murrin Murrin nickel and cobalt mining and processing operation in WA's northern Goldfields.
The Role
The successful person will be a member of a hardworking and committed team responsible for the day-to-day running of our complex process plant.
Responsibilities
Providing guidance to the workshop team and following processes/procedures as directed by your Supervisor
Undertaking boiler making duties and some welding in line with fabrication requirements as directed by your Supervisor
Consulting with the fabrication team to ensure all fabrication and welding is carried out in a timely manner and in accordance with specifications
Assisting in the completion of breakdown and shutdown maintenance as required
About You
Hold relevant Trade Certificate(s) and have coded welding skills
Previous experience working as a boilermaker leading hand within a process plant environment
Current & valid manual driver's licence
Able to pass multiple weld tests to ASME IX / AS**** on a range of materials including carbon steel, various stainless steels, nickel alloys and titanium
Able to work in confined spaces, restricted areas and at heights
Fundamental understanding of Workplace Health, Safety and Environmental procedures with a proactive approach to personal safety
