Position: Head of Department – Student Services
Type: Temporary, full‐time until 25 June 2027.
Accountabilities
* Provide leadership and guidance for the implementation of innovative measures aimed at improving student learning outcomes, engagement and attendance, including frameworks such as Positive Behaviour for Learning (PBL).
* Provide management and engagement strategies including induction activities of new arrivals, and advise on specific academic, social and emotional needs of students.
* Use data to monitor students' individual performance and behaviour and develop and implement intervention strategies where necessary, including targeted supports such as relevant college intervention models.
* Lead the implementation of engagement and wellbeing initiatives, including Engagement Centre processes (Realign, Reset and Pause).
* Communicate and work with parents, staff and external agencies to develop strategies to improve student engagement, achievement and attendance.
* Work with and provide tools for the school leadership team, Heads of Department and teachers to support consistent implementation of behaviour, wellbeing and engagement strategies.
