Job Title: Telecommunications Network Specialist
The Telecommunications Network Specialist plays a pivotal role in delivering end-to-end installation of telecommunications networks. This position involves installing, maintaining, and repairing telecommunications equipment and networks, ensuring quality and customer satisfaction.
About the Role
As a Field Service Technician, you will work independently to activate and assure telecommunications and technology products and services at customer premises, in homes and businesses. You will collaborate with a diverse team to achieve optimal customer and commercial outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
* Deliver seamless service rectification and product installations.
* Maintain and install copper cables, including fault finding, jointing, and jumpering.
* Manage fibre network technology, core network technology, and data services.
* Maintain and install customer premises equipment for both consumer and business clients.
* Perform fault finding over copper networks in rural or remote settings.
Required Skills and Qualifications
Candidates must possess and maintain relevant licenses and qualifications, including a current driver's license, and meet regulatory requirements:
* Certificate I/II in Telecommunications
* Open cabling license
* Traffic management qualifications
* Industry white card
Training support is available for traffic management and white card certificates. Vaccination against Covid-19 is required unless an exemption applies.
