We're expanding and looking for a Senior Tax Accountant who thrives on ownership, delivers results, and brings deep knowledge of Australian taxation. This is a senior level role with high visibility across the business. You'll work directly with the Managing Partner and Partner of Business Services and Tax, lead client relationships, and be involved in mentoring a team of capable accountants, all while enjoying the flexibility and autonomy that comes with a remote first culture.
What you'll be doing:
- Prepare and review financial statements and tax returns across companies, trusts, partnerships, and individuals
- Oversee BAS/IAS lodgments, reviewing intermediate and junior staff outputs for accuracy and compliance
- Act as the primary advisor for your portfolio of clients, delivering strategic tax planning and structuring advice
- Mentor and support junior team members, reviewing their work and helping elevate their technical skills
- Proactively identify risks and opportunities for clients, bringing insights that drive real results
- Work closely with partners on complex advisory matters, including restructuring, asset protection, and tax minimisation
- Assist in developing an driving internal process improvements and contribute to team
What you'll bring:
- Minimum 4 years' experience in Australian public practice
- CA qualification (completed)
- Deep understanding of Australian taxation and small business structuring
- Proven ability to manage a client base and deliver consistently high quality service
- Expertise in Xero and ideally tools such as NowInfinity, Karbon, Class, or Dext
- High attention to detail, excellent communication, and a problem solving mindset
- Confidence working remotely with minimal supervision but comfortable leading from the front
