A leading energy infrastructure company is seeking aSenior Legal Counselto assist the business to deliver complex services across renewable energy infrastructure, asset management and engineering and operations, working closely with renewable developers, infrastructure owners, government and major market participants across Australia.
The Position
Reporting to the Head of Legal and partnering closely with the business, this role will provide strategic and operational legal leadership across renewable energy, energy, construction and broader related projects.
Key responsibilities include
* Acting as principal adviser on renewable energy projects, including:
o grid connection and network services agreements;
o tenders and customer-facing delivery models;
o EPC, construction and engineering contracts; and
o O&M and long-term service arrangements.
* Managing risk allocation, contract negotiation and dispute strategy.
* Overseeing external counsel, legal budgets and governance processes.
Ideal Candidate
* Significant experience in construction and ideally some exposure to renewable energy and energy infrastructure projects.
* Background in a reputable firm and ideally have in-house experience within energy, utilities or infrastructure/construction team.
* A pragmatic, solutions-oriented mindset suited to a fast-moving, customer-facing business.
* Commercially minded and solutions focussed.
