About the role
Endeavour Group is expanding its Procurement function to continue to support our business in procuring all our Non Trade Goods and Services. As a Category Manager within the Procurement team you will play a key role in leading and delivering category strategies, commercial cost optimisation activities with focus on supplier management and continuous improvement, partnering with business functions. The role will have a significant focus enabling our Corporate portfolio.
Value will be delivered through running sourcing activities and negotiations, scope / specification review and demand management. You will enjoy using your interpersonal skills, customer and outcome focus to not just solve problems on paper, but drive solutions through to implementation. An amazing business partner with ability to influence & gain credibility with senior stakeholders and project teams.
Here’s a snapshot of the Category Manager's responsibilities
1. Understanding the Endeavour business and cost drivers and in collaboration with business partners, create category strategies and plans to deliver sustainable value
2. Influencing and mobilising key stakeholders to deliver impactful change
3. Extracting insights from complex analysis
4. Influencing decisions and through clear communications and presentations
5. Running sourcing activities and supplier negotiation
6. Develop, implement and manage vendor performance metrics, documents and reporting as part of a Supplier Relationship Management plan (metrics, compliance, continuous improvement plans)
7. Anticipate and execute contract-based opportunities
8. Support Supplier Diversity programs and activities
Now let’s talk about you
You will be an experienced Category Manager with experience working collaboratively to deliver Procurement activities. You will have a successful track record in delivering quality Corporate category outcomes and have demonstrated the ability to manage internal and external stakeholders. More specifically:
9. Minimum 5 years Corporate category management experience
10. Have successfully developed, executed and managed Corporate category and sourcing strategies.
11. An effective negotiator, communicator and people influencer, able to build relationships with stakeholders across all levels.
12. A strategic thinker with commercial acumen, you are able to navigate complex environments with ease.
13. Are curious and willing to challenge whilst managing your time
14. Have the desire to learn, develop and grow within the team
15. Exceptional written, verbal communication and presentation skills
16. Experience in Google Workspace and Coupa
17. Possess good spend data analytics
18. Membership of a Procurement affiliated body highly desirable
