About the Role
As a Food Service Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting our clients' food service operations. Your duties will include:
* Setting up food and drink trolleys
* Serving and delivering meals and drinks to patients and clients
* Preparing texture-modified food and fluids to meet specific needs
* Creating fresh sandwiches and salads
* Accurately recording food temperatures
* Washing dishes and ensuring the kitchen remains spotless
You will also be responsible for maintaining cleanliness in service areas to ensure a safe and hygienic environment.
Required Skills and Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will need:
* A minimum of 6 months' experience working in Health Care environments (Aged Care, Hospitals)
* Excellent communication skills
* A Current National Police Certificate (for unsupervised contact with vulnerable groups)
* A Working with Children Check (current)
* A 2024 Flu Vaccination and 3 COVID vaccinations
* Flexibility to work mornings, afternoons, and on-call shifts (at least 3 days per week)
* NDIS clearance (highly advantageous)
