About the Role
We are seeking an experienced MEP Quality Consultant to support multiple data centre projects across Melbourne. This is a hands‐on, site‐based role where you will play a key part in advising, guiding, and ensuring quality outcomes across mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) scopes.
This is not a purely advisory or audit‐based position, you will be embedded within project delivery teams, actively inspecting works, influencing outcomes, and driving compliance on‐site.
Key Responsibilities
* Conduct on‐site quality inspections across MEP disciplines and manage hold points
* Provide expert guidance to contractors and site teams to ensure best‐practice delivery
* Undertake factory visits and off‐site inspections where required
* Monitor and enforce compliance with the client's Global Minimum Standards for Quality (GMSQ)
* Work closely with Project Managers, consultants, and contractors to drive quality outcomes
* Coordinate quality activities in line with project programs and construction schedules
* Deliver clear, practical feedback and recommendations to improve workmanship and compliance

Experience & Skills
* Proven experience in MEP quality roles on large‐scale construction projects (data centres highly regarded)
* Background in commissioning, delivery, or site‐based QA/QC within MEP services
* Experience working across multiple projects or packages simultaneously
* Strong understanding of inspection and test plans (ITPs), hold points, and quality processes
* Proficiency with digital QA/QC tools (e.g., Procore; Visibuild training provided)
Role Requirements
* Must operate through your own ABN
* Ability to manage workload across multiple project sites in Melbourne
* Willingness to travel between sites as required
* Strong stakeholder engagement and team integration skills
