ABOUT THE ROLE
We are seeking an experienced and reliable Group Accountant, to provide efficient support to the company’s local and international companies.
You will work within our corporate finance team, based in our head office in Cleveland, Queensland.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
* Oversee and manage financial accounting operations and reporting, ensuring accurate and timely reporting in accordance with Accounting Standards.
* Review monthly Profit and Loss Statements ensuring accuracy, completeness and process adjusting transactions as required.
* Completion of month end closing processes
* Prepare financial information for the year end closing process, including working papers for the external auditors as required
* Prepare cash flow forecasting and monitor bank accounts.
* Perform intercompany account reconciliations and resolve discrepancies.
* Ensure compliance with tax laws and assist in tax filings (where applicable) and audits, for various countries
* Provide analysis of financial performance variances.
* Monitor and Reconcile Inventory accounts and stocktakes
* Liaise with internal departments both locally and internationally to ensure seamless financial accounting operations.
ABOUT YOU
* Accounting or Business Degree (CA (ANZ) or CPA qualified)
* 5+ years proven experience in a corporate environment (multinational preferred)
* Strong working knowledge and understanding of accounting principles
* Proficient in Accounting Software with a large ERP system (Technology One preferred)
* Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
* Excellent communication skills and ability to work as part of a team
* Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen eye for detail
* Strong work ethic displaying a high level of professionalism and confidentiality, with meticulous attention to detail.
* Excellent time management and organisational skills
