We have a great opportunity for an enthusiastic Assistant Nurse Unit Manager with experience in Ophthalmology Anaesthetics/PACU to join our clinical team on a full-time basis. Monday to Friday - no weekends, no public holidays, no overnights, no on-call.
Start date and hours negotiable for the right applicant.
Duties and Responsibilities This role provides support to the Hospital Management Team and manages the perioperative department through leadership, mentoring and clinical governance to ensure effective operation of the hospital.
Deliver hospital outcomes in clinical aspects, quality improvement, administration and leadership
Manage labour and consumable costs
Comply with the Infection Prevention & Control Program and NSQHS Standards
Support nursing team to deliver safe, evidence-based patient care
Ensure that patient safety and communication with surgical team is always a key focus
Deliver education and support to patients for the management of their recovery
Must have Ophthalmology Anaesthetics/ PACU experience
About You
Solid experience in Ophthalmology Anaesthetics/PACU nursing
Tertiary qualifications in Nursing or similar
Current AHPRA registration
Experience with Quality Improvement activities, Infection Control Management and Accreditation processes
A background in private day hospitals preferred
