Child and Family Psychologist Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Child and Family Psychologist to join our multidisciplinary team in Cairns and Cape York region.
The successful candidate will work closely with other members of the team and senior staff within external organisations to provide psychological assessments and interventions to children and families affected by trauma or with challenging behaviours or developmental issues.
* Conduct comprehensive psychological assessments and develop therapeutic plans for children and families.
* Collaborate with healthcare professionals, schools, referral agencies, and stakeholders to ensure seamless delivery of services.
* Develop and implement care plans for children and families, ensuring evidence-based practices and positive outcomes.
The ideal candidate will possess:
* Undergraduate or postgraduate qualifications in psychology.
* Masters-level clinical qualifications in mental health.
* Registration with relevant authorities to practice psychology.
* Provisional registration acceptable with completion of all requirements for full registration within an agreed timeframe.
This is a permanent, full-time position requiring some out-of-hours work and travel, including overnight stays.
