We are seeking a skilled professional to join our team as an Fisheries Specialist. This is a challenging role that requires the ability to collect and analyze data from Queensland's fisheries, while maintaining high levels of scientific accuracy and integrity. Key Responsibilities: * Conduct fieldwork and laboratory testing to collect samples and data from Queensland's fisheries. * Process fish frames in the field and laboratory, including measuring length, determining sex, removing otoliths, and collecting tissue samples for genetic analysis. * Prepare otoliths for further examination, including blocking in resin, sectioning using a high or low speed saw, and mounting sections onto glass slides.
