Finance Graduate Program Overview
The 12-month development program is designed to provide a supportive and challenging work environment where you will have the opportunity to engage in meaningful work, develop knowledge, skills, and experience.
You will join Finance as an ongoing employee at the APS 3 level and have opportunities for advancement throughout your graduate year. The program includes two 6-month work placements in different areas of the business, allowing you to gain diverse experience and build a strong foundation in finance.
Key responsibilities include:
* Providing input and advice on financial impacts, risks, and merits of new policy proposals
* Contributing to the government's financial framework and managing shareholdings in assets
* Delivering tools and services to parliamentarians and their staff
* Engaging with Government Business Enterprises and modernising public sector services
* Managing risk and providing general insurance services
In this role, you will participate in project management, analysis, and research assignments, contributing to policy advice and program development. You will also engage in team and departmental activities, including meetings, training programs, and information sessions.
