Job Title: Family Violence Support Specialist
As a Family Violence Support Specialist, you will play a vital role in providing integrated crisis responses and ongoing counseling to children and young people who have experienced sexual assault, physical abuse, neglect, and support for their family members.
Key Responsibilities:
* Facilitate access to Local Health Districts/Specialty Networks information in relation to JCPRP referrals and participate in JCPRP Local Planning and Response meeting.
* Provide a consultative service in areas of clinical expertise to local clinicians to promote consistent provision of safe high-quality client-centered care within the Prevention and Response Violence and Neglect (PARVAN) framework.
* Provide clinical in-service education programs including mandatory child protection training to staff and students to facilitate learning across the team.
* Support the domestic violence reforms across the FWLHD and act as a proxy representing the FWLHD at Safety Action Meetings (SAM).
Requirements:
* Relevant Qualifications/Experience as per Award Classification – Bachelor Social Work with eligibility for membership of the Australian Association of Social Workers or NSW Health Professionals Award Psychologist with general registration with AHPRA or Bachelor degree in Social Science, Social Welfare.
* Extensive and comprehensive specialist knowledge of contemporary trauma-informed practice and relevance to rural/remote service provision and advanced clinical skills in individual and group counseling and therapeutic work.
* High-level communication and interpersonal skills including the ability to document accurately; write proficiently; consult effectively with others; and negotiate and develop collaborative partnerships with a range of stakeholders.
* Competency in the use of information and communication technology, including standard office software, for email, internet searches, analysis of clinical data, presentations, and clinical documentation.
