About the role
Join the dynamic team at Atlas Copco Group as a Technical Sales Representative. This full-time role, based in Hazelmere WA 6055, will see you playing a crucial part in the growth and success of our business. As a Technical Sales Representative, you will be responsible for providing high-quality sales and technical support to our valued customers.
What you'll be doing
* Develop new accounts and distribution channels and service centres within allocated geographical territory
* Supply technical back-up and training to customers and distributors on Atlas Copco products
* Promote our full error proof solutions – operator guidance, data analysis
* Drive our Automation solutions
* Perform and educate our customer on our advance tightening strategies
* Run tightening technique seminars
* Maintain and increase market share of designated areas
* Identify new business and applications
* Build long term relationships with Distributors
* Maintain and apply accurate tender follow-up schedule
* Attend trade shows and deliver product demonstrations, launches and presentations to selected customers
* Keep self continually updated on product market and competition development and activities
* Plan and execute daily call routing to maximise time management
* Carry out any special tasks and duties allocated by Business Line Manager
* Use CRM for full range of customer management activities, including planning, recording contacts, generating and managing leads, converting leads to opportunities and then to quotation and contract.
* Adopt best practices in use of CRM.
* Plan, on a regular basis (e.g. weekly, monthly and or quarterly) time allocation for calling on Suspects, Prospects and Clients
* Schedule appointments with customers to demonstrate Atlas Copco product capabilities.
* Tailor demonstration to meet identified customer requirements.
* Keep the Divisional sales teams appraised of the applications, products and solutions relevant to your Mission.
* Utilise suitable training methods (e.g. PowerPoint presentations with delivery either via phone conference or face to face).
* Maintain long term mutually beneficial customer relationships by;
* Conducting periodic post-sale customer care visits
* Resolving customer problems and ensure customer satisfaction.
* Actively participate in monthly sales team meetings, sales conferences, product launches and trade shows.
* Communicate between the Division and sales team.
* Actively participate in Toolbox meetings with your colleagues.
* Provide regular feedback to the BLM (or delegate) regarding the market situation (e.g. competition, customers, projects etc) in your sales territory.
What we're looking for
* Proven track record in technical sales or a similar consultative sales role, preferably within the industrial or manufacturing sector
* Strong technical aptitude and the ability to understand complex products and solutions
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trusting relationships with customers
* A driven and results-oriented mindset, with a passion for delivering outstanding customer service
* Demonstrable negotiation and closing skills, with the confidence to handle objections and win business
* Relevant tertiary qualifications or equivalent industry experience
