* Job title: Legal Secretary
* Start date: May 2026
* Rate: Negotiable depending on experience
Your new role
* Managing day-to-day appointments for family law practice
* Typing/Dictation to be done efficiently on a daily basis
* Filing to be kept up to date
* Management of the day-to-day practice for a primary family lawyer, including setting up video conferencing and client meetings, corresponding with clients and responsibility for the incoming and distribution of the generic email stream.
* Drafting of family law court documents such as, divorce applications, visa applications, application for consent orders, drafting of wills, drafting of quotes for the Department of Children and Families
* Answering phones and assisting clients/taking messages in a professional and polite manner.
* Use of Leap, Microsoft Office, Outlook, diary management and Excel
What you'll need to succeed
* Previous experience in a supporting role in the legal space is highly regarded
* Strong administration skills
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills
* Ability to juggle tasks and deadlines
