Overview
Our client is seeking an experienced Customs Broker to join their busy freight forwarding team, located in Eagle Farm. In this role, you'll manage the end-to-end customs clearance process for a wide variety of import and export shipments, ensuring compliance, accuracy, and efficiency every step of the way.
Responsibilities
- Lodge import and export declarations in compliance with customs and quarantine regulations
- Classify goods and calculate duties, tariffs, and GST
- Liaise with clients, government bodies, airlines, shipping lines, and freight forwarders
- Advise clients on customs, quarantine, and trade compliance matters
- Coordinate with internal operations teams to ensure timely cargo clearance
- Manage documentation for duty refunds, permits, and special clearances
Role Requirements
- Current Australian Licensed Customs Broker & Biosecurity Accredited
- Knowledge in entry preparation, classifying and compiling
- Experience using CargoWise
- High degree of numeracy, literacy and analytical skills
- Commercial focus and excellent customer service skills
- Adaptable, ethical and hands-on approach
- Ability to effectively interact and network with internal/external stakeholders to facilitate professional movement of all shipments
- First-class communication skills - written and verbal
- Ability to prioritise and time-manage
- Attention to detail
