**The Role**
An exciting opportunity exists for an APS4 Administration and Accounts Assistant in the Parent Pathways service delivered by the Australian Government to eligible parents with young children in the Playford and Gawler Local Government Areas (LGAs) and surrounds in South Australia.
Parent Pathways is a voluntary service that provides personalised assistance and financial support to eligible parents and carers with a youngest child up to the age of 6 years. The service supports the future aspirations of parents and carers by supporting them to build towards their education and employment goals, while respecting their needs and valuing their caring responsibilities. The Parent Pathways service is designed to be flexible, tailored and holistic, providing support to parents facing disadvantage, young parents, First Nations parents, parents with a disability and parents from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds.
**This is a full-time position, with the successful applicant required to work full-time on site in Elizabeth, South Australia, where the Parent Pathways service is delivered on a face-to-face basis.**
**Duties and Responsibilities**
As the Administration and Accounts Assistant, as part of your duties, you will need to:
- Make informed, accurate and researched decisions based on resources, policy and guidelines.
- Maintain an excellent standard of record keeping.
- Process payment reconciliations and retain documentary evidence based on guideline and Australian Government financial management requirements.
- Manage and arrange for payment of goods and services with suppliers in person, by phone or online with adherence to departmental and program policy and guidelines
- Oversee and organise workflow of the site calendar, book and reschedule parent appointments and general diary management, making informed decisions within appointed areas of responsibility.
- Maintain and manage stocktake of office supplies and process replenishment orders.
- Maintain general tidiness of the service during business hours.
**Qualifications and Education**
- Ability to obtain or maintain a Working with Children Check administered by the South Australia State Government (mandatory).
- Working full-time onsite at the Parent Pathways Elizabeth site located at Elizabeth City Centre.
- Ability to obtain or maintain a Baseline Security Clearance (mandatory).
- Current C Class Drivers Licence for South Australia (mandatory).
