Machine Shop Supervisor

As we continue to grow and expand, we are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Machine Shop Supervisor with CNC experience to join our team.
Position Summary:
The Machine Shop Supervisor with CNC experience will play a pivotal role in our manufacturing operations. This individual will oversee the day-to-day activities of our machine shop, ensuring efficient and accurate production while managing a team of machinists and CNC operators. The ideal candidate will possess strong CNC programming skills and a solid understanding of machine shop operations including manual machining.
Key Responsibilities:
Supervision: Lead and manage a team of machinists and CNC operators, providing guidance, training and support to ensure optimal performance and productivity.
Production Scheduling: Plan and oversee daily production schedules to meet customer demands and delivery deadlines.
Safety Compliance: Ensure that all safety protocols and procedures are followed by team members, including machine operators, to maintain a safe working environment.
Cost Management: Identify cost saving opportunities and efficient improvements within the machine shop operation.
Qualifications:
* Mechanical trade or a related field preferred, or equivalent work experience.
* Proven experience with expertise in CAD/CAM software (eg. SolidWorks, Mastercam).
* Strong leadership and supervisory skills, with the ability to motivate and coach a team.
* In-depth knowledge of machining processes and CNC equipment.
* Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.
* Strong organizational and time-management skills.
* Knowledge of safety protocols and best practices in a manufacturing environment.
* Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
