About Us
At
Anglicare Southern Queensland
, we believe everyone has a story - and every story matters.
For over
150 years
, we've walked alongside Queenslanders at all stages of life, offering care, support, and hope.
Our Out of Home Care services provide safe, stable, and nurturing environments for children and young people. We're looking for passionate Youth Workers ready to be where they're needed and belong right here, making a real difference every day.
About the Role
As a Residential Youth Worker, you'll be part of something bigger - a team that shows up, creates consistency, and helps young people feel seen, valued, and supported.
You'll provide day-to-day care in a trauma-informed way, helping young people build routines, develop life skills, and connect to community. You'll collaborate with Coordinators and Service Managers to create positive outcomes for each young person in your care.
A day in the life might include:
* Planning and joining meaningful activities with young people.
* Encouraging independence and life skills.
* Promoting healthy habits, hygiene, and nutrition.
* Completing records, reports, and maintaining compliance.
* Being part of a collaborative, values-driven team.
Current Opportunities
These are unique roles providing support across our Logan and Ipswich regions.
This role covers periods of leave across our houses, with rosters provided 1-2 weeks in advance.
You'll also have the privilege of working across multiple houses, supporting the children who need us most and providing consistency and care across the region.
About You
You're someone who believes in young people - even when they don't believe in themselves yet.
You stay calm in the chaos, bring empathy to tough moments, and find joy in small wins.
You'll also bring:
* Certificate IV (or higher) in Child, Youth & Family Intervention, Youth Work, Community Services, or related field.
* Blue Card (Working with Children Check QLD) and Licensed Care Service (LCS).
* Hope and Healing Framework training (or willingness to complete).

* Confidence working autonomously and collaboratively in a team.
* Trauma-informed approach and understanding of the Child Protection Act 1999.
