Tyrrells Memorials, North Ryde and Gladesville is a family run business and are one of Sydney's oldest memorial stonemasons operating for over 85 years.
We are looking for an Experienced Stonemason/ Monumental mason who must have experience in V-cut letter cutting with hammer and chisel, cut and drill and lead lettering on granite and marble.
**DUTIES INCLUDE**
- Stone masonry work, specialising in monumental and cemetery-based work
- Monumental mason work on the creation, installation and repairs of headstone and memorials crafting custom stone pieces
- Determine materials required, dimensions and installation procedures
- Cutting, shaping and polishing stones and bricks using machines and hand tools, and shaping to fit irregular spaces
- Designing and cutting monumental masonry and lettering
- Constructing walls using stone slabs and large masonry slab blocks
- Repairing and maintaining memorials
**Requirements**:
- Stonemason qualification and/or extensive work experience in the industry
- Must be able to lead a team and oversee 2 labourers
- Must be able to letter cut using hammer and chisel, lead lettering and abrasive blasting
- HR and forklift license helpful but not necessary
Pay: From $73,150.00 per year
Schedule:
- 8 hour shift
