Job Description

As a mental health clinician, you will play a crucial role in providing comprehensive care for individuals experiencing severe and persistent mental illness.


Key Responsibilities

* Conduct thorough psychiatric assessments to identify treatment needs and develop effective care plans.
* Deliver case management and structured therapeutic interventions to support consumers in achieving optimal mental health outcomes.
* Assess and manage crisis situations, providing timely and appropriate interventions to mitigate risk and promote consumer safety.
* Collaborate with consumers, carers, general practitioners, and support agencies to ensure seamless care coordination and effective communication.
* Participate in multidisciplinary team reviews and contribute to clinical governance processes that drive quality improvement and best practice.


Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

* A relevant qualification in psychology, social work, or a related field.
* Extensive experience in mental health assessment, treatment, and care coordination.
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and make informed decisions.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with consumers, carers, and colleagues.
