Richard Crookes Constructions (RCC) is seeking aQuality Engineerto join our team and help drive excellence across one of our major construction projects. This is a key role focused on ensuring our projects meet the highest standards of quality, safety, and compliance.
About the Role
As a Quality Engineer, you will be responsible for maintaining quality management systems, conducting audits and inspections, and supporting project teams to deliver work that meets regulatory and client expectations. You'll play a vital role in fostering a culture of continuous improvement and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities
* Implement and maintain quality management systems aligned with industry standards
* Collaborate with project teams to create and execute quality plans and inspection procedures
* Conduct regular quality audits and inspections, providing feedback and driving corrective actions
* Manage non-conformance processes including root cause analysis and preventive actions
* Deliver training on quality processes and standards to project teams
* Identify and implement opportunities for continuous improvement
* Ensure compliance with relevant quality regulations and standards
* Support supplier and subcontractor quality management
* Analyse quality data and generate performance reports
* Collaborate with stakeholders to integrate quality into project planning and execution

About You
* Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field
* Previous experience in a Quality Engineer role within the construction industry
* Strong understanding of construction processes and quality management systems (e.g. ISO 9001)
* Experience in audits, inspections, and process improvement initiatives
* Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills
* Proficient in quality tools and methodologies
