This is an exciting leadership opportunity to lead the school community of Shalom College, Bundaberg commencing January 2026.
Shalom College, Bundaberg is part of a system of kindergartens, primary schools and colleges operated by Catholic Education in the Diocese of Rockhampton (CEDR) in rural and regional centres from Mackay, south to Bundaberg, and west to Longreach.
In your role as Principal, you will be supported by the staff of the Catholic Education Office in the areas of Teaching and Learning, Catholic Identity, Indigenous Education, ICT, Finance, Strategy, Business Development, Human Resources and Student Protection.
As Principal at Shalom College, Bundaberg, you will report to the Diocesan Director Catholic Education in the Diocese of Rockhampton through the Assistant Director : Schools (Southern Region).
Shalom College is located in Bundaberg, set among thirteen hectares of bushland on the outskirts of West Bundaberg. The school was established in 1984 after the closure of the Christian Brothers College for boys and Loyola College for girls and caters for its current enrolment of approximately 1569 students from Years 7 to 12. Shalom College also has a campus of eighty-five hectares at South Bingera twenty-three kilometres west of Bundaberg. This campus provides students with outdoor activities, environmental education and a venue for camps and retreats.
Shalom College offers a diverse curriculum through a modern, well-equipped school with a wide range of co-curricular activities including instrumental music, choirs, interschool sport, retreats and camps.
