Key Responsibilities:
- Participate in the Engineering Activities in support of acquisition.
- Provide assurance that Functional Requirements are met through the acquisition process.
- Develop, manage, and maintain the Engineering Documentation suite.
- Provision formal Engineering advice regarding project engineering activities, across all relevant contracts.
- Exercise appropriate Engineering Delegation as issued, update and maintain technical risks.
- Assist the Engineering Team in any Engineering activities and facilitate the ongoing professional development of team members.
- Collaborate with the wider Project Team to provide Engineering input across all discipline streams.
- Review and provide engineering feedback on contract deliverables to support the implementation of the solution.
- Collaborate with the Engineering Team, organising and coordinating workshops.
- Maintain compliance of Engineering process.
Experience Skills Sought:
- Be a Chartered Professional Engineer of a registered Professional Engineering Body (such as Engineers Australia) equivalent or be able to attain chartered status.
- Tertiary qualifications in Communications Engineering, Systems Engineering, or other equivalent experience.
- Strong interpersonal skills and a proven ability to work collaboratively and communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
- Experience in leadership and management roles, and an ability to coach and guide teams in the implementation of strategy and change.
Desirable Experience:
- Understanding of technical, logistical, and operational requirements in the delivery of capability, and knowledge of applicable Defence policy and legislation.
- Experience working in managing cross-functional teams of diverse technical specialisations.
