The Opportunity:
Due to sustained growth, we are currently looking to engage a Senior Civil Engineer to join our Property and Buildings group in our Adelaide office. Our Property and Buildings team is a specialist engineering group operating across all sectors. We are passionate about tackling the complex and sophisticated challenges of the built environment and delivering innovative and sustainable solutions to create accessible, resilient and liveable communities. This role is vital to the ongoing success of our P&B Civil team in Adelaide and offers career development opportunities and professional growth. What you will do:
1. Work on a range of iconic projects within the defence, health, energy and commercial sectors
2. Work in a high impact, market-facing and civil engineering delivery focused role
3. Manage ongoing communication and highly effective professional relationships with local clients
4. Proactively determine, manage, monitor and control scope of works
5. Ensure timely and quality of delivery for project and civil engineering work in support of relevant technical, commercial and regulatory standards.
6. Manage effective stakeholder relationships, both internally and externally
7. Provide sound technical/delivery guidance for the team
8. Mentor, train and develop the careers of junior engineers
9. Partner with internal stakeholders and a collaborative, national team in a multidisciplinary engineering setting.
About you:
1. Bachelor to Masters’ level degree (Civil Engineering)
2. Chartered status with Engineers Australia (desirable)
3. Excellent expertise in civil engineering and design documentation, including roads, carparks, public realm, earthworks, stormwater and utility coordination.
4. Sound working knowledge of relevant Standards and Codes
5. Solid industry experience on Australian civil engineering projects.
6. Expertise in effectively delivering multiple, concurrent projects ranging and scale and sector, e.g. commercial, residential, industrial, land development, subdivisions
7. Sound client facing and relationship management skills
8. Adept in cross-discipline project delivery and an effective collaborator with all key engineering disciplines
9. Proficiency with AutoCAD and 12D
10. Knowledge of DRAINS and MUSIC software
11. Highly developed customer-focus, leadership, teamwork, interpersonal and communication (written and verbal) skills.
