Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Technician to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for completing repairs and maintenance of heavy diesel products, diagnosing and repairing engines, and disassembling, inspecting, and cleaning engines and/or engine components.

The ideal candidate will have experience with engine rebuilding and reconditioning, as well as maintaining work areas and tools for cleanliness and proper operation.


Responsibilities:

* Complete repairs and maintenance of heavy diesel products
* Diagnose and repair engines
* Disassemble, inspect, and clean engines and/or engine components
* Engine rebuilding and reconditioning
* Maintain work area and tools for cleanliness and proper operation
* Assist with completion of required documentation, such as work completed documentation, time sheets, warranty claims and quality forms


Requirements:

* Apprentice Trained Engine Technician (Cert III) or equivalent
* Basic level of workshop or field service experience required
* Basic level knowledge of and/or experience with engine products
* Heavy Vehicle Experience preferred
* HR License preferred
* Must be certified to work in NSW

* Health and Safety Fundamentals - Champions and models proactive health and safety behaviors
* Diagnostics Application - Translates customer complaints to develop troubleshooting plan
* Electronic Service Tool Application - Identifies the suite of available hardware and software tools required for a service event
* Engine Systems Interactions - Interprets and analyzes the interactions of internal and external electrical and mechanical systems
* Product Repair and Maintenance - Repairs and maintains mechanical/electrical products following guidelines
* Service Documentation - Creates and verifies customer, equipment and technical information
* Technical Escalation - Obtains product technical issue information and utilizes available resources


Benefits:

* Full Time / 38 hours per week
* Day Shift (06:30 – 14:36)
* Saturdays available
* Overtime as required – Penalty rates paid for all work above 38 hours
* Safety equipment / PPE and uniforms are provided and laundered
* Local Valid Drivers License
