We’re looking for a dedicated Grounds and Maintenance Person who takes genuine pride in their workspace, enjoys interacting with people, and understands the importance of keeping spaces safe, welcoming, tidy, clean and well-maintained. In this hands-on role, you’ll be responsible for the general presentation, upkeep, and day-to-day maintenance of our communal grounds and facilities. If you’re someone who’s reliable, friendly, and passionate about keeping things running smoothly and looking their best, we’d love to hear from you.
Nope, this isn't a 'gardening' or 'cleaning' role but yes, it does require you to roll up your sleeves from time to time to make sure common areas are presenting their best for our residents and their guests to enjoy.
Daily Tasks
* Presentation upkeep of the village incl inspections/maintenance/ad hoc clean & tidy
* Responding to resident maintenance requests
* Preventative maintenance & inspections
* Minor repairs to building & equipment
* Drive the small bus from time to time for errands and resident outings
To be successful in this role you will:
* Have previous experience as a handy person or general maintenance officer
* Be a ‘can do’ person with a positive attitude
* Have pride in what you do
* Be able to multitask and prioritize effectively
* Have a high attention to detail
* Have basic computer skills
* Have an Open Class C Drivers License for the Bus
* Enjoy being part of a small service orientated team
This is a Part Time Role - 2 days per weekday (minimum)
