Faculty of Health, Medicine and Behavioural Sciences Full-time or part time, permanent position Base salary will be in the range $95,361- $102,302 17% Superannuation (HEW Level 6) Based at our Herson Campus About This Opportunity We are seeking a diligent and well-organised Senior Research Administration Officer to join the Faculty of Health, Medicine and Behavioural Sciences, supporting world-class research that delivers meaningful health outcomes in Australia and globally. Based within the Herston precinct, this role provides high-level research administration and advisory support to academic and professional staff across one or more Schools and Centres, contributing to the effective delivery of research activities. Working closely with researchers and leadership teams, you will enhance the research environment ensure smooth and efficient processes through continuous improvement. Key responsibilities will include: Provide expert guidance to researchers on research administration processes, systems, and compliance, supporting onboarding and documentation across pre- and post-award activities. Coordinate pre-award grant support, including triaging enquiries, identifying funding opportunities, and liaising with the UQ Research Office and other key stakeholders. Support post-award grant management, ensuring compliance with funding agreements and university policies through collaboration with finance, HR, and research governance teams. Contribute to a high-performing research environment by embedding consistent processes, supporting strategic initiatives, maintaining research performance insights, and building strong cross-unit networks.
