Job Description
Seeking to connect a resident in care with a Spanish‐speaking social volunteer.
We are seeking a kind, Spanish‐speaking volunteer to spend time with an elderly resident who would truly appreciate conversation in their own language. Sharing a cuppa and a chat, or—when the weather is kind—a gentle walk around the grounds with a stop at the onsite café, can bring comfort, connection, and joy.
Your presence, your language, and your warmth can brighten someone's day in the most heartfelt way.
Your impact
Volunteering as a social visitor can be a rewarding experience, both for the person you visit as well as yourself. Regular visits from volunteers can help to improve quality of life and help people feel less isolated.
HammondCare is an independent Christian charity and we're passionate about improving the quality of life for people in need. We have a wonderful group of volunteers that partner with us to enhance the lives of the clients cared for by HammondCare.
HammondCare is a provider of The Aged Care Volunteer Visitor Scheme funded by the Australian Government and is established to promote links between elderly people and volunteers in their local community.

Requirements
We'd be happy to discuss a suitable time during the week for a one hour visit between 9am and 4pm Monday to Sunday, visits could be weekly to fortnightly depending on your availability.

* National Volunteer Police Check and NDIS Worker Screening Check arranged and paid for by HammondCare
