About the Role
We’re seeking skilled Machine Operators to join our Stapylton Cans Plant. This is a full-time permanent role on a rotating roster, with overtime available.
12-hour shifts, Day - 6am – 6pm and Night - 6pm – 6am.
Week 1 – 4 x Night shifts, Week 2 – 3 x Day shifts, 3 x Night shifts, Week 3 – 4 x Day shifts, Week 4 – no shifts
Weekends and Public Holidays as part of roster paid at penalty rates.
Reporting to the Manufacturing Manager, you’ll play a vital role in keeping our plant running smoothly and safely.
Key Responsibilities
Operate machinery to meet production, service, and quality standards for the manufacture of beverage cans.
Troubleshooting and dealing with production issues, alongside maintenance team.
Assist in machine setup, dismantling and job changeovers tasks for a production run.
Perform quality inspection checks and other procedural checks to ensure the best quality is delivered to our customers.
Maintain safe work and operating practices, and a high level of housekeeping at all times.
What you’ll bring to the team
Previous operation experience in a manufacturing or FMCG environment.
Proven ability to work in a physically demanding and fast paced environment.
The ability to work under pressure and display a good eye for detail particularly in quality control.
Continuous improvement mindset and willingness to learn.
Forklift licence is a bonus.
