Details of appointment

This is a permanent day work position working 73.50 hours per fortnight.

Benefits

Salary of $99,482 - $104,352 pa. Starting salary negotiable within range subject to experience in a similar role. Annual salary increases within this range in accordance with the Tasmanian State Service Award and Public Sector Union Wages Agreement.

Working environment

Tasmania Prison Service (TPS) has prison facilities located at Risdon Vale, Hobart and Launceston in Tasmania. This position is based at Risdon Vale in the Training Building.The Risdon Vale site offers a corporate working environment without the hustle and bustle of city centre offices, free on-site parking and access to the on-site staff gym (or head across the road to Risdon Brook Dam for a walk at lunch time).

Duties

* Develop, coordinate and deliver learning, development and training initiatives and programs in line with the Department of Justice's strategic priorities.
* Provide administrative support for the delivery of programs, including: provider management and engagements, room or venue bookings, participant management and care, and associated communications.
* Develop and implement learning and development resources, including eLearning modules, information guides, training slides, and digital resources.
* Provide advice and support to the assigned Correctional Supervisors in the development and facilitation of training.
* Facilitate face-to-face and virtual training workshops, information sessions and employee workshops.
* Manage training records and training contracts, and prepare proposals, reports and other documentation as required.
* Develop, implement and apply a framework for evaluating learning, development and training initiatives, and focus on the continuous improvement of initiatives to ensure ongoing effectiveness and alignment to strategic priorities and desired outcomes.
* Research, identify, collate and customise available external learning, development and training resources for internal use.
