About the role

We're seeking experienced Anaesthetic Nurses to join our dynamic Perioperative Services team. We have a permanent part time opportunity available at 24 hours per week .
As an Anaesthetic Nurse at Mater Private Hospital Springfield, you will be at the forefront of providing essential support to our patients and the clinical team. Your responsibilities will include:
* Assisting with the management of anaesthesia care, including preoperative assessment and intraoperative monitoring
* Ensuring patient safety during anaesthesia, managing potential complications, and maintaining a high level of clinical expertise
* Providing effective post-anaesthesia care and managing postoperative recovery
* Working collaboratively with surgeons, anaesthetists, and the wider nursing team to deliver high-quality care
* Acting as a patient advocate and ensuring optimal outcomes throughout the perioperative journey
* Contributing to the ongoing improvement and sustainability of our department
About you
To be successful in this role, you will need:
* AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse or Enrolled Nurse (no restrictions)
* A minimum of 2 years' experience working as an Anaesthetic Nurse in a hospital setting
* Ability to work autonomously as well as part of a team
* Exceptional attention to detail, organizational skills, and clinical judgment
* Strong communication, negotiation, and decision-making abilities
* A passion for delivering patient-centred care and continuous professional development
