About This Role
Your new role: As the SPOT Manager, you will provide strategic and operational leadership across two statewide multidisciplinary teams delivering specialist support to people with spinal cord injuries, their families, and healthcare professionals. You'll play a critical role in shaping high-quality, person‐centred care through collaboration, innovation, and service improvement—while influencing clinical practice and policy at a state and national level.
Key Responsibilities Include
* Leading and managing multidisciplinary inreach and outreach teams across Queensland
* Driving service innovation, quality improvement, and evidence-based practice
* Providing expert clinical leadership in spinal cord injury rehabilitation
* Overseeing operational delivery including workforce, budgets, and performance outcomes

You are an experienced and strategic healthcare leader with deep clinical expertise and a passion for improving outcomes for people with complex conditions. You thrive in multidisciplinary environments and bring a strong balance of clinical credibility, leadership capability, and system-level thinking.

About Us
The Division of Allied Health and Rehabilitation (AHR), Princess Alexandra Hospital consists of inpatient, outpatient and community-based rehabilitation and persistent pain services with a strong person‐centred and interdisciplinary team focus. The Division provides services for people with acquired brain injury (ABI), amputation, persistent pain, spinal cord injury (SCI) and other disability. The Department of Rehabilitation is managed by the Departmental Executive that consists of the Medical Chair, Director of Nursing, Allied Health representative and the Business Manager.
