The Role
As the Business Development Manager / Sales Engineer for NSW, you will be responsible for driving growth, maintaining and expanding existing accounts, and providing expert advice and solutions for control valve applications. You will engage with engineers, maintenance managers, procurement teams, and project stakeholders to deliver tailored solutions that enhance operational efficiency, reliability, and safety.
Key Responsibilities
• Identify, develop, and secure new business opportunities across industrial, water, energy, manufacturing, and processing sectors in NSW
• Manage and grow a portfolio of existing accounts, providing consultative technical support for control valve solutions
• Deliver tailored solutions including valve selection, flow control applications, automation and integration advice, and preventive maintenance programs
• Conduct on-site visits, technical presentations, product demonstrations, and solution proposals
• Prepare accurate quotations, tenders, and proposals aligned with customer requirements and specifications
• Collaborate with internal engineering, technical support, and operations teams to scope, design, and deliver solutions
• Maintain a robust sales pipeline, track activity, report forecasts, and meet or exceed sales targets
• Represent the company at trade shows, technical workshops, and client meetings to promote solutions and strengthen relationships
About You
• Strong technical knowledge of control valves, industrial valves, flow control, and related mechanical or automation systems
• Proven experience in B2B sales within industrial, water, energy, manufacturing, or processing sectors
• Excellent consultative sales skills with the ability to understand complex technical requirements and propose solutions
• Confident presenter and communicator able to engage engineers, project managers, maintenance teams, and procurement stakeholders
• Self-motivated, organised, and capable of working autonomously while managing multiple accounts and projects
• Strong problem-solving ability with a focus on delivering value and solutions rather than just products
• Valid driver's licence and willingness to travel across NSW
