Event Management Professional
This is a challenging and rewarding role where you will be responsible for planning, coordinating and executing events across multiple properties. You will work closely with clients to understand their needs and expectations and ensure that every detail of the event aligns with these requirements.
The role involves managing all aspects of events from initial client consultations to final execution. This includes collaborating with internal teams to deliver seamless service, acting as a key point of contact for clients and providing personalized support to ensure successful outcomes.
To succeed in this role you will need to have excellent organizational and communication skills, as well as the ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines. You will also need to be creative, flexible and able to think on your feet.
Key Responsibilities:
* Client Communication: Respond to telephone inquiries and direct follow-up to the appropriate team member
* Event Planning: Assist and coordinate entertainment, sites and famils, manage large entertainment projects and assist in coordination of trade shows
* Data Management: Maintain databases ensuring account, contact and booking profiles are updated daily and are accurate per Marriott International standards
* Lead Qualification: Take MICE phone enquiries, qualify leads and distribute to the sales team. Prepare basic catering proposals where needed
* Contract Administration: Assist with MICE and Special Corporate contract administration, including preparation, invoicing, processing deposits, GDS load forms and CI/TY activities
* System Accuracy: Maintain and have data accuracy in systems such as CI/TY, MI Leads and Opera
