This role is for someone to come in and enhance an organisation with a relatively low change maturity. At present, the change maturity is low. The company lacks the frameworks, standardised training, and unified "ways of working" required to scale effectively. They require a pioneer. You won't just be following a playbook; you will be the one writing it. This is a rare chance to take a blank canvas within a regulated financial services environment and build a bespoke Change Practice from the ground up. The Mission Your first 12 months will be defined by foundational rigour and influence. You will audit our current landscape, design a change methodology that suits our unique culture, and begin the "hearts and minds" work with stakeholders—ranging from high-level executives to busy operational teams. As you demonstrate the tangible value of structured change, your remit will expand. You will be responsible for the strategic recruitment, mentoring, and leadership of a team of Change Managers to support our long-term transformation roadmap. Key Responsibilities Architecting the Framework: Define the "how". Create the toolkits, impact assessment templates, and communication protocols that will become our gold standard. Uplifting Maturity: Transition the organisation from "reactive firefighting" to a proactive, structured change approach. Stakeholder Diplomacy: Navigate a complex web of stakeholders—including Compliance, Risk, IT, and Ops—ensuring change is integrated rather than isolated. Capability Building: Develop and deliver bespoke training materials to upskill our project leads and business owners. Scaling the Function: Identify talent gaps and lead the recruitment of a dedicated change team as the practice grows in prominence. The Ideal Candidate The "Builder" Mindset: You have a track record of creating order from ambiguity. You enjoy the challenge of establishing a function where none previously existed. Financial Services Expertise: You understand the nuances of a regulated environment. You know that "moving fast" must be balanced with a robust approach to risk and governance. Methodology Mastery: You are likely Prosci, ACMP, or APMG certified, but you aren't a zealot. You know how to adapt formal methodologies to fit the specific "personality" of a firm. Gravitas & Influence: You can hold your own in the boardroom. You can articulate the ROI of Change to leaders who primarily speak the language of P&L. Natural Leadership: You are a mentor at heart, eager to grow a team and foster a high-performance culture. Why Join? In most Change roles, you are asked to fit into an existing box. Here, you design the box. You will have the autonomy to make your mark, the backing to build a team, and a leadership group that is ready and waiting for a professional to show them a better way to work.
