**Assistant Dyehouse Manager**
**Monday to Friday permanent full time position | Bendigo and Wangaratta locations.**
**THE COMPANY**:
Bendigo Woollen Mills is Australia's largest hand-knitting yarn manufacturer with factories in Bendigo and Wangaratta. We are currently seeking an Assistant Dyehouse Manager to join the team within our long-standing business.
**THE ROLE**:
As the Assistant Dyehouse Manager, you will work closely with the Dyehouse Manager to oversee all aspects of the Dyehouse operations at both locations. You will be responsible for ensuring the smooth functioning of the Dyehouse facility and maintaining quality standards throughout the dyeing process.
- Responsibilities:_
- Assist the Dyehouse Manager in planning, organising, and coordinating Dyehouse operations, ensuring optimal utilisation of resources within production timeframes.
- Supervising and training Dyehouse technicians, providing guidance and support to ensure their development with efficient and accurate dyeing processes.
- Collaborate with the Dyehouse Manager to develop and implement quality control procedures to maintain consistent dyeing standards.
- Monitor dyeing parameters, such as temperature, pressure, and dye concentrations, to ensure adherence to specifications and desired colour outcomes.
- Maintain inventory of dyes, chemicals, and other supplies, ensuring an adequate stock is available for production needs.
**ABOUT YOU**:
- Proven technical experience working in a Dyehouse supported by a strong operational background.
- Broad understanding of dyeing processes, including knowledge of dye types, dyeing machinery, and colour-matching techniques.
- Have an eye for colour with the ability to discern and appreciate subtle variations in colour shades.
- Excellent organisational, analytical and time management skills.
- Solid computer skills including Microsoft Excel, Access and Data Colour with experience using a spectrophotometer.
- Ability to review and enhance standard operating procedures to ensure a smooth and efficient dyeing process.
- Physically able to undertake manual labour/heavy lifting and hold a current driver's licence.

**Salary**: $65,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
