Underground Drill & Blast Engineering Role
We are seeking an experienced Underground Drill & Blast Engineer to join our team in Kalgoorlie.
This is a challenging and rewarding opportunity to work on underground production areas, generating short-term drilling, blasting and ancillary mine plans to achieve operational goals safely and cost-effectively.
Key Responsibilities:
* Develop and implement drilling, blasting and ancillary mine plans for optimal operational performance.
* Collaborate with the Scheduling Engineer to ensure production plans align with weekly and monthly objectives.
* Conduct regular inspections and assessments of underground production areas, working closely with survey and geology departments to inform production planning decisions.
* Maintain accurate data management systems for reporting purposes, blast vibration monitoring and notifications, and provide technical input into large-scale production planning.
Requirements:
* Proven experience in a similar underground role.
* Bachelor Degree in Mining Engineering or related field.
* Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and Word, with proficiency in mine design software such as Deswik.
* Experience in production engineering roles with exposure to underground ventilation systems.
* Western Australian Underground Supervisors Certificate of competency or ability to attain the certificate.
* Dangerous Goods Security Card or proof of application.
* A willingness to reside in the Goldfields region or relocate for this residential site.
* A valid Unencumbered Western Australian C Class Drivers Licence.
