Job Role: Disability Support Specialist

This role is available in Community Access and Supported Independent Living settings in Darwin. Key responsibilities include:
* Developing and implementing strategies to prevent and manage challenging behaviours.
* Maintaining a safe environment for clients who exhibit unpredictable or challenging behaviour.
* Supporting clients outside of home environments, including transportation assistance.
* Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams and allied health professionals to provide comprehensive support.
To succeed in this role, you will possess a client-centred approach and have:
* Proven experience in providing direct support to clients with complex needs.
* Strong manual handling skills and physical capabilities.
* Practical knowledge working with individuals with challenging behaviours and physical disabilities.
Essential Requirements
* Current Driver's Licence
* NDIS Worker Screening Clearance Check
* Proof of COVID-19 Vaccination Status
* National Police Check (within 3 months)
