Mount Barker District Council is seeking a motivated and reliable Team Member Civil to join our Civil Works team. This hands-on role is responsible for delivering a wide range of civil maintenance activities across the district, ensuring our roads, drainage, footpaths and public spaces are safe, functional and well maintained for the enjoyment of ratepayers and visitors.
This position plays an important role in maintaining Council's civil infrastructure to a high standard while contributing to a strong safety culture, continuous improvement, and positive community engagement.
About You
The successful applicant will demonstrate:
* Experience in civil maintenance or construction works
* A strong commitment to workplace health and safety
* Ability to operate plant and equipment relevant to civil works
* Good communication skills and a customer-focused approach
* Capacity to work effectively as part of a team and independently
* Willingness to participate in ongoing training and development
Relevant licences, tickets or qualifications (e.g. construction induction, traffic management, plant operation) will be highly regarded.

Our ideal candidate will have the demonstrated experience in civil construction and work health and safety practices, and tickets to confirm competency in the operation of relevant machinery. A minimum of an HR Truck Licence is required, with HC desirable.
