The Opportunity
Utilize your facilities management skills and experience and play a key role in supporting Macquarie Technology's Customer Mission Critical Services. You will play an integral part in the maintenance of facility infrastructure and in the response to any incidents related to the Data Centre facilities. This role requires shift hours to ensure coverage of our facilities.
The role covers the three key areas:
* Continuous proactive facility maintenance and contractor coordination
* Supporting the Facility Manager
* Response and Resolution of facility incidents related to Macquarie Data Centre (MDC) Facilities
The Data Centre Facility Technician also provides the necessary support and management to ensure Data Centre access security is maintained and assist with the creation and execution of relevant work processes and procedures. The MDC Operations Team is responsible for delivering world's best data centre services. You'll have the opportunity to work with emerging, new technologies and products, and experience opportunities to learn and grow while being supported by a highly motivated and diverse team.
Your Ideal Skills And Experience
* At least 2 years hands-on management experience in Enterprise Data Centres
* Eligible to obtain NV1 clearance (Australian Citizenship required)
* Proven record in respect of dealing with Data Centre MEP technologies
* Proven record in developing and executing Data Centre routine maintenance activity
* Good knowledge of building services (Structural, DRUPS/UPS, HV/LV switchgear, Electrical Design, Generators, Security Systems, HVAC, Fire, Security, EMS, ECMS, BMS)
