The Team
Our client's Competition team acts for clients across a range of industries on diverse transactional, advisory, and dispute resolution matters.
Specialising in both contentious and non-contentious aspects of Australian and Asia Pacific competition law, the team often works on aspects such as large-scale internal investigations for regulatory compliance, handling merger clearance applications, advising on pricing, supply and distribution agreements, commercial disputes, and general contract disputes.
The team is looking to hire a Senior Associate with at least 5 years' post-admission experience in Competition Law for their Melbourne practice.
The role will involve advising major global and local clients on various aspects of competition and consumer law. This includes competition advice, particularly cartel litigation, marketing and advertising clearance, consumer law disputes, regulatory investigations, and prosecutions.
You'll handle a wide range of front-end and back-end competition and consumer issues, with a focus on contentious matters.
The ideal candidate will have between 5 and 8 years' PAE with an excellent academic record, first-rate drafting and analytical skills, and a passion for competition law.
