* Provide leadership for the Learning and Development functions. * Ongoing, Full-Time Opportunity to work with a high-performing and passionate team in the Victorian Public Service * VPS Grade 4: $97,955 - $111,142 plus superannuation. The Department of Justice and Community Safety is seeking a Workforce Development Supervisor to provide a critical role at Langi Kal Kal. About the Business Unit Reporting to the Operations Manager, the Workforce Development Supervisor is responsible for the planning, development and delivery of learning and development and training programs to ensure that the location develops and retains the talent needed to achieve strategic goals and objectives. This position is based at H.M. Prison Langi Kal Kal. The position manages all aspects of the learning and development function for H.M. Prison Langi Kal Kal and will be committed to the training and development of all employees to improve productivity and efficiency, to build operational capability, achieve corporate objectives, improve service delivery to customers and stakeholders and provide career opportunities. The position will ensure compliance with the Australian Quality Training Framework (AQTF) standards, oversee the coordination of trainers and assessors, and ensure alignment with the Department of Justice Learning and Development unit. About the Role Some of your duties will include: * Coordinate the effective delivery of learning and development and training activities for custodial and non-custodial staff. * Investigate and manage a wide variety of blended learning and development programs for staff, including the design, delivery, and evaluation of these programs to ensure that training remains current and unpins the effective delivery of services. * Oversee the pre-service training delivery, compliance programs, alternative duties program and the maintenance of operational manning capability for custodial staff. * Manage orientation and induction programs, staff competency training and evaluate the appropriateness and effectiveness of these training programs. * Promote a learning environment that ensures compliance with all legislative and corporate governance requirements and Registered Training Organisation (RTO) standards, including the Australian Quality Training Framework and alignment with the Department of Justice Learning and Development unit. About you To be successful in this role, you will have: * Demonstrated knowledge and experience in competency-based training and assessment, including the ability to plan, manage and implement training solutions. * Demonstrated ability to design, facilitate and evaluate a variety of training programs. * Ability to facilitate face to face training, with an understanding of adult learning principles and group dynamics. * A sound understanding of program evaluation techniques. Qualifications/requirements * A Certificate IV in Workplace Training and Assessment or equivalent. * A qualification in training/education and/or commensurate experience is desirable.
