2XU is looking for a talented and experienced Garment Technician to join our Product team. In this role, you'll be at the heart of the product creation process - working closely with our Design, Production, and Sourcing teams to ensure every garment not only looks great but performs to the highest standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Product Development & Fit:
Collaborate with the Design team from initial brief through to final sign-off, creating detailed tech packs that include size specs, construction details, and BOMs. Conduct fit sessions (physical and/or virtual), applying your expertise in patternmaking and grading to ensure precise fit and function.
Technical Wear Testing:
Lead structured wear testing with athletes to assess garment performance in real-world conditions. Collect and analyze feedback to refine construction, fit, and functionality.
Act as the technical point of contact between internal teams and vendors. Ensure clear communication around fit revisions, construction changes, and timelines. Work cross-functionally with Supply Chain and Sourcing to resolve development or production issues.
Production Handover:
Own the final sign-off process, ensuring all materials (including tech packs, care labels, and samples) are accurate and approved before production. Collaborate with Quality Control to uphold product integrity and performance.
Post-Launch Feedback Loop:
Conduct post-market fit and performance reviews and work with internal teams to identify improvements for future ranges.
