Family Violence Prevention Specialist
The successful candidate will play a key role in strengthening community capacity, providing specialist support, and promoting healing-informed practices within the Social and Emotional Wellbeing Team.
Main Responsibilities:
1. Deliver and evaluate family violence prevention programs and activities.
2. Provide community education on family violence prevention.
3. Offer program support and referrals for those experiencing family violence.
4. Support case management processes.
5. Participate in interagency collaborations and partnerships.
6. Deliver targeted, trauma-informed service delivery.
7. Develop and implement individualized case plans.
8. Provide support and advocacy for clients.
9. Conduct risk assessments and safety planning.
A strong understanding of Aboriginal culture, community needs, and the effects of historical trauma is essential for this role.
