About Quantum Brilliance
QB is an Australian‑German diamond quantum technology company founded in 2019 to commercialise technologies originally developed at the Australian National University and the University of Stuttgart. Its mission is to deliver mass‑deployable quantum technology by focusing on advanced diamond materials and integrated quantum micro‑devices. Labs are located in Melbourne, Canberra, Stuttgart, Freiburg and Tokyo, and the company has grown to almost 100 staff with almost $100M in venture capital and contract revenue.
The Quantum Diamond Foundry (QDF)
QDF was founded in 2025 as a subsidiary of Quantum Brilliance Group (QB). Its mission is to unlock the potential of diamond quantum technologies through the supply of high‑performance quantum diamond at scale. Specifically, QDF will:
* Deliver the diamond substrates required by QB to accelerate development and eventual manufacturing of integrated quantum chips.
* Deliver diamond materials required by the broader diamond quantum industry to accelerate technology development and commercialization.
* Provide material development, characterization and test services, as well as design and simulation support as needed.
QDF partners with established quantum‑grade diamond manufacturers to:
* Perform characterization and test services that enable substrate improvement.
* Develop new epilayer materials and processes to transfer to production tools for superior substrates and materials.
* Develop design and simulation software tools for faster, more precise material and device design.
QDF is organized into three interconnected teams: Modelling, Metrology, and Materials, operating from a comprehensive laboratory in Notting Hill, Melbourne.
